Put it in the correct spot at the bottom of the windshield. Do a search.

Yea I found a spot but I think it's too low for the radar to shoot out for the rear window, for the lser shots.

I have the same radar mounted directly above the center speaker behind the hump. The rear sensor can shoot out the rear window and the front is perfect and will give you a lot of range. I love my passport.

ok now i was trying out the v1, and i dont know y anybody would like all the false alarm. you cant drive behind many of the newer model cars that has the new taillights like the 2010 750. it sets off the laser on the v1...... thats carzy..... so i got the 9500ix it still has some false alarm but it learn them so you wont get it again. or u can store it your self.A++++++++++ but now the gps signal is hard to get from the 9500ix cause of my windsheild. it take sometime to lock. so i'm sending it back to escort, and i order the MACK DADDY THE 9500CI...... i cant wait, getting in monday will post pic.....

Well when you buy it from the passport it's fully warranty from them. Anything goes wrong it's a piece of mine. Money is not a problem when it comes to a piece of mine. No more mounting on windshield and removing it when I go out? I love the 3years of free updates for the GPS. Can't Beat it.....

the 90500ix doesnt have a rear antenna, it uses the front to calculate signals that bounce.
Only the Valentine 1 has dual antennas.
Just make sure you put it on the right spot and you will be fine.
Also, if you get hit by laser you are in trouble already, you will need laser jammers for that, or again, a Valentine 1 that picks up scatter, meaning if you are driving with others on the road, the V1 will pick up scatters from other people getting hit with it so it will give you time to slow down.
If you are alone and you get hit by laser no matter what RD you have you are already toast.
Also, the escort 9500ix when using the truelock locks out real threats, not wise to use it.
And again, The V1 is annoying to some people that dont know how to set it up right because it does its job, locating radar sources.
With the right settings the V1 is amazing and with the raw detection you cant go wrong.
I also use the 9500CI in my car along with Quad LI jammers and a V1 as well.
I have an extra 9500CI brand new in the box for sale as well if anyone is local to me, I wont ship, a month old under full warranty ( hasn't been registered) in sealed box for 1100.
( I am not sure if you can advertise in here if not please remove post)

Its not the tail-lights, its the Radar cruise control/Active Collision system that they have. My 7 will give some radar detectors the spook with active cruise on while not with others.
