I think it is at least $3,000-$5000 over priced. Friend sold his 04 with 56xxx and 22" asantis for $22k and had it for sale for over 5 months. The kit seems to be a plus to someone who knows what it is. I bet you could sell it for $25k max. If you get more, good work!

Are you serious ? thats the 2006-07 price you will most get like 17k for that, dont get me wrong, but this car sells very bad, must be showroom cond, original, no buddy cares about shnaser/shmaser and things, maybe some young guy, who just made some illegal money will buy it for few month fun, but he will not pay you 28k for it

Honestly.... I would post better pics of the ride. Maybe even a virtual tour of the car explaining the packages.
Also, remove the part that says your selling your car due to many expenses you now have. It right away makes it seem like your over priced and your trying to make more money on the sale.

I think you are asking at least a few grand more than it's worth. Also you really should go back through and fix the grammar in the listing. It's pretty atrocious and if I were looking at this ad I would think "if this guy can't even take the time to type up the ad properly, what would he have not bothered to keep up with on the car?"

hey,
so heres my 2 cents and i think i will be the most accurate of your replies..
first of all i go to auctions all the time and these sevens are there but they are in **** condition most of the time and the 02-05 sell from 12-20k.
fortunately you are not selling it in the auction. your car is also in really good condition. you have a good color combo and you have the kit.
there is also one more thing going for you... people looking for a seven series who cant afford to get a 750 will go for the 04/05 since they are known to be the better years for that generation.
if you are looking for a quick and fair sale, list it for 23900. plenty of people will jump at the oppurtunity to to own it..

some people will tell you 06-07 bmw 7 series sell at the auction for 17-20 lol... im not sure what world they live in or what auction they go to but dont let that discourage you.

goodluck

I agree you shouldn't put because of financial reason, because they figure if you can't afford it what will happen if they get into financial issues (plus they feel you are desperate to sell). I also believe a good price is between $21800/$23600. i dont believe all the extras thats listed will make the sell because people will think youre trying to recoup money from all the extra's instead of what the car is worth.

I c that bidding has ended....If u didnt sell I agree with others lower the price much too high over resale value especially for an 04...Car looks very...very clean though u will definitely sell this car for the right price!

Its is in other listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-7-Series-ACS7-04-BMW-745-LI-AC-SCHNITZER-EDITION-MUST-SEE-LOADED-/230500019743?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35aadf2e1fi think its better but you shouldn't put BIN price, let people give you an offer least you will see how much they will give you

First I have to disagree with some, aftermarket parts kill the value of any car. Ask any car salesman and they will tell you keep it orginal for resale value. I'm not saying that your car doesn't look great but it hurts your resale. Also some may say that the 05 would hold its value better than the 02 but I thinks this also hurts you. If i'm looking at 05's I would just pay a few grand more for the 06. I know that the 05 is likely to be a better build but most folks would rather hunt high and low for a good deal on an 06 rather than pay top dollar for a car that looks the same as an 02. The biggest issue is that these cars are hard to sell unless you put an atractive price on them. I was told that I could get 16-17 for my 02. I think that thats likely but I also understand that it would take me a month or 2 to sell. Also ebay is the wrong place to list the car if you want to get a good return. Most folks on Ebay are looking for the deal of a lifetime. I would use Auto Trader or Cars.com.

21-23k and it may take you a few months to sell.

i had it in a classified ad i put it into auction format. i know the grammer isnt that great but i was doing it in a rush had to go on a bussiness trip. ill wash it up today and get some better pictures. i am willing to take 25000 for it i dont think thats asking for to much. plus slick 44 i go to auctions as well thats where i got this car. the lower priced 7s are all over 100k miles plus had an accident or the pait wasnt original due to small accident. ill get it fixed and you guys tell me if its better. thank you all btw

You will NEVER get $25K for it. It's worth $21K MAXIMUM. As others have stated, body kits do NOT add value (many believe that the car has been hit and THAT is why it has new body parts). Sorry, but if $25K is your bottom line, you simply will NOT be selling it to anyone who knows anything about these cars. You are simply priced out of the market. I'll take $40K for my '06 which is still under CPO with 20K fewer miles than you have on yours and more features as well but nobody (in their right mind) would pay me that much...no matter what I (personally) thought it was worth.

I'd be willing to bet you $500 I could find TEN other 70K miles+ cars for within $1,500 of the $20K mark but it's honestly not worth my time.
So you bought it at auction and are trying to make a few $'s on it, huh? Hopefully you paid the current auction price (of around $17K) for that car...

I can understand wanting a different ride. If you don't have a reason for the back seat, a 6-series would be SWEET. I've found a number of GREAT deals on M6 verts around here (high 40's or low 50's) so I know there are some deals out there. How long have you owned this one?

8 month. i got a deal for and 04 645ci convertible 60k for 25000

Holding a car for such a short period will make it hard to get you $'s back out of it. People who "flip" cars (hold for less than a year) often loose a lot of $'s but many of them don't care as they have the extra cash and can afford it. If you bought it at auction, you may be able to break even. It looks like you have a "seed bidder" at your starting point and I'd wager that it doesn't go far beyond that level (even lst minute on eBay). You seldom get "retail" prices out of eBay sales. I did on my '04 TL with 50K miles but I was also a single owner and had EVERY scrap of documentation for every service ever done to it.

irokdastar383
07-20-2010, 09:24 AM
look you can a 2004 745 for 20k thats understandable. you can even get it for 15k with nothing inside and all the warning lights are lighting up like a chrismass tree. i go to auctions and i know what ure getting when u buy these cars for 18 or 15k . over 100k miles and tones of issues. btw seven there is no such thing as a dual exhaust on a 7 . i already got acs full kit . its loaded and not alot of people want a lowered ride. i might not get 30k for it. but if you buy this car for 30k and do all those things u want it will end up costing you more.

Bro, it took me about 3 months of aggresive selling, but 7 buyers are out there, and no matter where u sell your mission would be to find the ones who get foamy and excited about your 7. Put a Hi and lo price in your mind and thats it.

I believe I hold 2nd place in terms of price to Bad540's past creme puff sale of his flawless 7 (lol). U can't worry about all the extra stuff u installed, whether or not it has this or that.

Try this if u really want to sell, roll up and park in the customer spots of new toyota honda dealerships, make sure the 7 is detailed and leave the windows down and a for sale sign in the window. Guess what happens, people will look at the 7, inside and out.

It sounds crazy but this has worked for me in the past and at the least visibility and attention to get your car out there for free. It's actually good business for the dealers too, cause people want to see what this big 7 is also, I mean some people r actually looking for used cars, so I feel it has added benefits.

The last time I did it, this couple was pissed. They had just purchased a used white 325i/something like that from the dealer and here I roll in, fresh 7, looking like a million dollars. They were all over my 7, inside and out, if only a few minutes earlier I had been there. It was so funny, they left the dealer in thieir 3 series staring at my 7. (maybe they were crying, lol)..

All i would add is that driving a E65 2005 or above or below is a dream - If you get an enthusiast looking then everyone has their budget. I had mine and couldnt afford a 2006 its just fact who cares if it looks diferent (very slightly) you get a nice comfy car and lots of toys
