Interesting.....looks like the current V8 valvetronic will be out in the near future.

I just wonder if the US will get 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5L 3/4 series vehicles or just the upper range of 3.0 and 3.5.

Good article - thanks for pointing it out.
It leaves me curious about what the manufacturers might have trademarked here, (or are those trademarks international in scope?). A list of US-specific trademarks might prove better to speculate from.

Only thing is, the 3/4 split has been put to bed.

Also think about it, if you ran a company wouldn't you trademark certain designations to keep your competition wondering? :)

bmw going for the block? tm h7 so would hummer have to stop at h6 :p

this must and will be the 3rd time that bmw has claimed that they would do the 4er designation and pulled back. i remember that the e36 coupe was going to have that des and then they changed their minds. :dunno:

the 225/230 might be my next. :D
