It's really easy. After all the BS I had with my LF turn signal I can pull the bumper off in less than 15 minutes now. I can do the entire bulb install in about an hour and that's taking time to get the panel gaps perfect. Just use the DIY on here. It's really helpful.

OP, the car looks really good. I wasn't sure what expect from the title. I was thinking it was going to be mods from china.

Get hid fog kit, then when you drop your bumper much easier to install them, more space to work, and i also changed corners parking lights to l.e.d. 1watt so they looks now like those 2 red on the back but white, they dont need resistor for CAN, no errors

I paid the dealer 1/2 hours labor to install them. I talked my service advisor into replacing my passenger side HLamp (fogged up a couple of months ago in the rain), so they had to remove the bumper anyway to get to that one. They just charged me for having to take out the driver side HL

Bassknob=volume control for your subwoofer (sub amp output). Keep your stereo up loud and give the neighbors a break once in a while. :D

this a first time i see some one do a custom audio system with logic 7, heard people talking about on here but never seen one actually done and installed with pics. Nice man! How much you paid for the complete audio system and how much for install?

the install part is easy. the hard part is removing all the equipment when you take it to the dealer for warranty work.

Why would I take it out for warranty work? The dealer doesn't care as long as my install doesn't interfere with any of the oem systems. I just had my car services yesterday and the service tech asked for permission to play with my stereo! I had the same setup in my e38, just got another box built to fit the slightly diffrent trunk of the e65. It was 650 installed (including box and bass knob)

if something goes wrong with any audio related components they will void your warranty for the sound system.

+1 - dealer will say its your fault and problem is connected to aftermarket install. may even void warranty on navigation.

btw - did you cut out the ski pass. how is sound getting into the cabin. car has way too much soundproofing to hear anything from the trunk.

You don't have to cut out the ski pass, it screws in. That being said, i haven't taken it out yet. It's much more forgiving (less air tight) than the e38 ski-pass. I'm going to take it out when i come back to the US next month though, because it causes extra vibration in the rear deck.

And as far as the stereo, i've had an aftermarket install in my last 5 cars, 4 of which were under warranty. Never had any issues with the dealer (or the installer for that matter).

Not 100% sure on the wheels yet. I would love a set of black wheels with a white lip, but prob. won't go that route. I'm back in China for the next 4 weeks so it will be a bit before i can take more trunk pics.

Well i guarantee i will never use the ski bag...i sold the one from my e38, but i will probably have to keep the one from my e65 when i take it out considering i'll probably sell it once the CPO runs out

Those MTecs' (and the rest of the mods) look great. Are the MTecs' 6000K? How about your HIDs?

Oh and BTW, is that a Boilermaker plate? :)

The Mtecs are the 4300 which are closest to the hid headlights (which are still the oem ones). And yes, i'm a purdue grad :)
