I have been trying search for the how to lower or drop the car down about an inch or 2, but nothing.
Wondering how to do it and could it be done by the height sensor. t would probably a whole lot easier, I'd say. But it just can't be that simple...LOL

What! you have to replace the shorter springs or something ? Why can it be done by the height sensor ? Used to do that on Lincoln cars. There should be a height sensor on this, no ?

Your BMW in most casses, has coil springs front and rear, unless you have self leveling on the rear. Because of this, you would need to either A. replace the springs with aftermarket lowering springs, or B. replace the struts and the springs with coilovers.

Your lincoln most likely had an air strut in the front and a air bag on the rear. The height on those cars are determined by ride height sensors. That is why you are able to lower those cars by adjusting the links or sensors.

smaller rims to introduce more tire sagging between pavement and rim edge :dunno:

Thats why smaller sidewalls = higer PSI recommended.

he wants to lower his car so introducing thicker sidewalls with recommended pressure will do that. that's why cars with +3/+2 wheels look so jacked up.

If you've heard of level sensors on these cars outside the context of the self-leveling rear setup, they are actually just vertical aim/level sensors for the headlights -- to keep them level as the car bounces. There is one attached to a passenger side control arm or a similar part in the front, and one on the back -- I believe also on the passenger side.

Hahaha...This is so funny. Everyone seems to pay lots of attention on the fenders. I wanted to find the light blue inserts like the colr of the M Series. But nothing yet. I guess the orange that reflects so loud...lol

On the other hand, I also would like to know the cost to lower the car if someone has any idea. :D

Shop around and do it ASAP. I got my springs+install for around $500.

Your car looks great, man. I have a question tho. Ever have any problem when 5 adults loaded in the car ?

I never had any problems loaded even with my heaviest of friends in the car. Bending wheels on potholes is the only thing I worry about.

If I can replace the orange with the light blue, it wouldn't look as bad...:D

It all depends how big your rims are. I have 22's dropped on h&r springs but also had my rear fenders rolled. 2 people in the back its okay, 3 and you might hear your tire rub a bit.

i am lowered and i have had 4 people in the back, so 6 people total and no rubbing what so ever

That's thing that gets me confused...lol Some say yes, it's rubbing with 2 in the back and some say never a problem. Now back to the thinking mode again.
Thanks guys for the inputs. Much appreciated. :D
