SZL control system (steering angle sensor)

Recently I had a diagnostic done at BMW service center after seeing Transmission failure and check engine light on my 2003 745 I. The dealer said I need to replace the SZL control mogel and reset the codes to see if this addresses the issue. The problem is with the steering angle sensor!.Any one seen this or have insight on this problem. A little history at 59,000 miles the transmission had to be replaced.Now I sit at 72000 miles with steering sensor issue???any insight or info would be awesome....

Get them to clear the fault and see how long till it comes back / how long till your DSC freaks out again, and go from there. Mine freaks out once every 6 months or so... I turn it off after a little bit, turn it back on and it's fine. If your DSC system isn't freaking out and your blinkers cancel properly, tell the shop you're keeping your money.
