I am thinking of buying them for my black sedan. Anyone have pics of chrome tips on a black sedan?
TIA

I have them on my red 325i. I don't have a pic here at work or I'd attach it.

The little stock nub does nothing for me.

I have a 2003 325i sp also and I put them on the day I got it. They were very easy to put on and they look great. I don't have a pic right now because I am at work but I will try to post later.

I have no pics either, but to me the tips were a must for my 323i. To me the bare pipes sticking out of the rear facia made the car look unfishished or as if I had tips and they fell off.

I never did understand why BMW didn't make them standard across the 3er line.

Here's my '02 Topaz 325i SP with the chrome tips on. Installation was a breeze. I Lubed :eeps: (careful) the inner side of the tips with soap and water and some WD-40 to make them slide in easier. I pushed them in till they went in all the way.

Hey jbeck325:

I purchased the Chrome Tips for my 2002 325i and removed them when I traded it in. I have them if you are interested in purchasing some used. I can snap some pics if you are interested. Just let me know.

I will take $25.00 Shipped for both of them.

I put a pair on my '00 323Ci and they looked good! Right up to the time one fell off in the driveway. Both had rusted out and became loose enough to fall off after a year and a half. Looks like condensation gets under them, especially at the rear of the tip (fartherest (?) from the muffler where the tip is bent into the exhaust. They both rusted along the bottom .
I haven't replaced them yet.

I don't have a black car but here's how they look:

You changed more than just the chrome tips. That shot of the rear looks really nice with the body colored trim. Did you paint the HVAC grille too?

I'll get the trunk piece painted on my 325i if it ever gets here. I'm undecided about the roof strips and the HVAC grille.

I do not see anything different about the rear of F1's 325i than the 2002 I had. Nothing appears to have been painted that was not painted from the factory.

You're absolutely right, I didn't paint anything, no changes are done to the car except the tips.

I guess it's just the lighting in that photo, it looks like the trunk handle and the roof strips are not the usual black I see on every 325 sedan.
