View Full Version : Are 23"s too much?

I was browsing eBay and came across some decent 23 inch Giovanna's for $350 INCLUDING shipping. Now this is for all FOUR wheels. I did a little research and found four tires that would run about $1035 INCLUDING a road hazard warranty. So total price would be about $1,500 installed for a set of 23 inch wheels and tires. My only hesitation is that 23 inch wheels may be a bit much on the 7. :dunno:

Btw, this mod would be a little ways out, as I have just purchased an aftermarket set of 19 inch rims to take place of the factory wheels. I would buy the wheels for $350 and hold them until time to buy new tires, then upgrade.

Any thoughts???

sick price but 23's are too big for the 7.

That's what I was thinking (as far as them being too big). I don't wanna get something so large that I have to make mod's to the suspension. It's not worth it. I was just drawn in by the price, lol.

Naaah...It would be best just to save that cash to get a descent set of 22s or just chill with the new set that you just bought. You will also save the grief of going through the big debate on here of anything over 22'' on the 7. Trust me...lol Stay in the safe zone. 22> is a NO FLY ZONE

23" is very ghetto setup. Just save up the money it case you have a major problem.

For the price, I wouldnt care. I would just get them as another set to keep around. However, I would strongly recommend having the centers color matched, or painted.:D

I'm not really concerned about major problems. Warranty is still good for another 30k miles.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! It's almost like I have to get them, lol (from a price perspective)

I think 23" is a little odd size, it might be hard to find the tires to fit on them. I know an E66 with 24" and claims never had a problem. Can't beat the price. 22" is great, but what's an inch more ? Maybe the guy tries to get rid of them, because no one wants to buy an odd size like that...JMO...
It's Giovani's. Can't go wrong...lol I'd buy them and if you change your mind later, put them on CL. Peeps will buy'em...LOL

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is the reason he is selling them so low. Because he has the same wheels in 20" and they are listed at $799 plus $99 shipping. So an extra $550 for three less inches. Lol. Those 23's are looking better and better. Lol

Keep staring at it, it'll be yours... Actually...if you look at the quality of the chrome, it does look different from others. Maybe because it's Giovani or Vana or whatever...LOL

if your putting 23" wheels on, you'll definitely need to lower the car or else it will just look funny. 23" wheels are too big but thats not really the issue here, those are just some super oooogly rims.:(

I would pass on those rims. Even if they were nice it would be hard to find tires in that size. You should consider lowering it first. It's an inexpensive mod and it looks good even with stock rims.

I think 22's are the max on a 7.....might be able to pull it off with a drop..just don't know what kind of ride you would get.....factory 18's or 19's would probably ride better than 23's.

Can't beat the factory as they were built for comfy...and all. You guys are NOT gonna believe what I saw last night on my way home from work.
A 645 sittin on I'd say...at the very least 24". It's black. It's freaking HORRIBLE. Might as well drive a freaking 4x4. Stupid!!! I shouldn't even be surprised. It's a Florida thingy...LMFAO!!!

That's eff'n ridiculous! I'm rethinking the whole 23 thing. The price is what drove me in. And they were good quality wheels, I just don't wanna make the 7 look hideous, lol. I ordered 19" aftermarket replacements that should arrive tomorrow (Lord willing). So I'll post pics as soon as I get them installed.
