Those have GOT to be two of the more diametrically opposed wheel selections I have EVER seen anyone consider. One is essentially a plate while the other has almost no metal AT ALL. That being said, I do think the sparse one could look really good on your car in 22's. The new Jag XJR might be about the only car the 90% metal wheel weighs "might" look good on and that is simply because the car is SO new that nobody has created an image in their mind of what looks "right" on that particular car yet.

The Bently's in the above shots are extremely customized so at least 50% of that particular "look" comes not from the wheels, but actually could likely be attributed to the bodywork modifications so don't expect the wheel to look ANYTHING like that on a non-customized car.

I think you should keep it the way you have it man. The wheels you have are already nice and it matches the ride. Would you plan on color coordinating those as wheel IF you do change em out?

the first wheel looks like ass

the second wheel looks like hairy ass

you should stop listening to other people, your wheels are great and they match your car. and you just powdercoated them! not to mention who is going to buy wheels powdercoated to a color that is very rare. you have it nice as it is, those wheels aren't going to be more valuable to anyone as much as they are to you, so you won't get good value. and that even goes without mentioning that both the wheels you linked are disgusting.

no lie, I would probably key that bentley if i saw it in a parking lot. I HATE when people blindly spend money on something (ESPECIALLY wheels) that makes the car look WORSE when the ONLY upside of expensive wheels is supposed to be to make the car look better (since it messes up performance in pretty much every way possible and opens up cracking, bending, and other safety problems)

now a good looking expensive wheel, like the one diznik linked, is a great idea by me. but carbon fiber wheels aren't really made for anyone with less than a 6 digit income

+1. They look horrible, man. I'm a big supporter of "to each his own", but the second one is especially hideous and detrimental to your ride/performance. While I don't like the first wheels, I probably wouldn't have commented.

Hard to believe they would be heavy enough to wreck your tranny. Could they be heavier than a couple of 200 pounders in the back seat? (Guess it could cost you some fuel economy, though.)

You should have left the wheels how they were originally. IMO like it matters... I think your car is way over done. Your car looked super clean in the beginning.

Yeah the wheel shop guy told me he put the fiores on a bently Gt and it F'd up the tranny because the face part of the wheel is supposly 1inch thick of all metal.

There is a HUGE difference between additional luggage/passenger weight and "rotational" weight (that wheels add). A few "ounces" of rotational (Wheel) is like adding a few hundred capacity pounds.

The HRE's in the link above a a BEAUTIFUL wheel but in black you just kinda loose all the majesty of them and they tend to come across not as the 3-piece master pieces they are but rather could be easily mistaken for a set of cheap knock offs (IMHO). On the other hand, $3K for a set of HRE's WITH tires is a BARGAIN (even if they are black)...

From personal experience, HRE wheels are not all that impressive, but their customer service is the best. So I guess your paying in advance for the best customer support in the wheel industry.

I guess it depends on what you mean by the term "impressive". HRE's are good, solid quality 3 piece rims and if you do hit a pot hole or something, you can work with that great customer service to get a replacement barrel. Since they are 3 piece wheels you don't have to buy a completely new wheel. However, no wheel is indestructible so that is probably about the best you are going to get from ANY wheel manufacturer. If you mean that the style of their wheel options does not impress you, that is another thing. They certainly are NOT made with the flimsy materials other lower-quality vendors use in their designs, right?
