Hi everyone

New ZHP owner here! I traded in my S2000 and picked up a new '04 ZHP. Silver Gray with leather, xenons, moonroof and heated seats. Struck a deal for about $1,400 above invoice.

I've already ordered Pirelli SnowSports including wheels from Gary; should be here next week. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the car everyday even during the break-in period. I miss driving my S2000, but the ZHP is the perfect car to help me get over that!!

This is an excellent forum and I look forward to rejoining as a Bimmer owner (had a E36 320 years ago).

Cheers
sf

I'll have to take some pics this weekend and post. I love the silver gray color too. I was partial to titanium silver (had this color on the S2000 and wife's X5) but the SG is much better!

I'm in Yardley and got the car from Turnersville BMW in NJ. I think it was sitting on their lot for a few months.

What part of PA are you from, Dr. Phil?

Congratulations, sonusfaber! New Bimmer in the house! Oh yeah!

Of course, you have heard the "thou-shalt-not-drive-thy-new-Bimmer-over-100-mph-for-the-first-couple-thousand-miles" speech - ah, so hard, so hard!

Dr. Phil - hey, how have you been? I hope your baby is well and not too snow/ice/salt/road cinder encrusted? Ah, I remember those East Coast Winters - the snowplows! the ice building to iceberg proportions underneath the front fenders! the salt! the candidates for Darwin Awards driving recklessly! Arrrgh!

And then - the potholes, some the size of Bryn Mawr! (or Paoli) :D

The ZHP is doing well in the snow thus far, thanks to the Blizzaks  It is always a battle to keep the salt and grime off during these months but I find a way to do so

Did you get a good deal getting rid of the S2K? Bet you miss the shifter of the S2K, huh?

Nice. I've not listened to either one of them, but have heard very nice things about them. If fact, I was tempted to buy a pair of Osprey. I've heard they are great for your $$.

I currently run a pair of Superslim 1800, which are ribbon speakers from Ambience, an esotoric manufacturer in Australia. What type of hardware are you using?

Welcome, music man. I am sure you'll love your ZHP as much as your audio gear. The Extrema and the Electa Amator are two of my favorites of all time. Nice choice!

Wow, didn't know there so many other audiophiles on this board!

The Ospreys are very nice looking, but I haven't heard them. I have the Swifts, which for $900 are a great deal. Pat McGinty, the designer, is a nice guy, he actually made a pair that had matching wood grain for me cos the one at the dealer didn't really match.

My other equipment are Sony SCD-777ES SACD player, Perreaux 200IP integrated amplifier, VansEvers Power Conditioner, Nordost Black Knight I/C and DH Labs Silver Sonic cables. My SF Concertos are now doing HT duty with a matching Piccolo Center.

I heard the Amati Homage at a dealer's preview when it was first released. Now's that's a great speaker!! I can't wait when Serblin finally releases the flagship Stradivari Homage. I've seen the pics and they are stunning to say the least, almost looks like Quad panel speakers.

Sorry for the newbie question, but how do I post a pic from my hard drive? I tried the [img] code but I'm not sure how to insert the value. I tried searching the FAQ but can't find anything.

1. Attch Files: Manage Attachments.
2. Browse: Choice your pic from HD.
3. Add this to file.
4. All Done.

Here's another audiophile coming out of the wood works... I heard the Swifts at the Stereophile show last year. They are amazing and really filled up the room with music. My mouth dropped when I saw the price. Something so cheap shouldn't sound so good. :D

Maybe an "audiophile" forum under Everything Else is in order. :D

I'm an audiophile--Just picked up some Axiom bookshelfs and talk about bang for the buck. Anyways--Dont know much about the Swifts--can you elaborate?

Its just as well that we use this thread for audio discussion as it is pretty much useless without pics .......

Axioms are a great value...I have them for my surround speakers in my HT system. The Swifts are small floorstanders, but are designed to produce prodigious amounts of bass for speakers their size. They really are excellent for the price. Here's a link to the Meadowlark website...http://www.meadowlarkaudio.com/swift.htm.

I'll be taking pics as soon as possible...it's supposed to snow this weekend up here so might have to wait a little longer to take outdoor pics! Btw, silver gray really is a beautiful color for the ZHP!
