i just bought the tv tuner and a dvd player from ron at streeteffectz.com.

i would like to do the install myself (with my husband).

but i'd like to know from all you ICE modders out there - what is the best way to hook up the audio? :dunno:

there are 3 ways that i know of:
1 - cut into the factory wires on my cd changer
2 - use the bmw oem aux input adapter
3 - fm modulation

(i would suspect that fm modulation is the worst sound.) :thumbdwn:

i have never heard anyone compare the sound quality between the aux input and "hard-wiring" the sound...

thanks for your opinions!
:D

Yes, avoid FM modulation like the plague. I can't believe the number of kits that are sold that use FM modulation. Miserable sound.

Another option might be some sort of adapter that works with the CD changer but doesn't require cutting. Does Blitzsafe make something like that?

Using the BMW aux input is probably your best bet because it will be the most convenient. Blitzsafe does make an adapter with RCA inputs, but you will need to run wires from the trunk to the front.
