So it's supposed to snow again tomorrow and I need to fit the winter wheels to my wife's X5.

As I was changing the wheels, it dawned on me that she might just have the dirtiest BMW wheels on the planet, certainly the state. I don't think these have been cleaned in weeks... probably months. I usually handle the car stuff, so I'm at fault here :tsk:

Anyway, can anyone beat these?

Scott, it's very dirty indeed.

But can't beat AlanF's :p :D

Wow, can't compete with that! :yikes:

I just did my 1st cold weather wash of the 44's, so no entry from me :D

I win

That's all mettalic racing pad. I still have some spots on them as I didn't clean the wheels soon enough :eeps:

(btw, this is about 10 miles worth of dust. Simply from bedding in the pads. I got a LOT of sparks doing that. Pedestrian reaction was funny :))

Wow.

You all realize that just kills the finish on those wheels, right? Pitting and never-to-remove spots always appear after neglecting to wash the brake dust off...

In any case, Alan - your wheels are sick.

Scott, mail me those 19's, and I will replace them with some clean 17's off my wife's X5!

Some people would pay extra for that finish :D

Mine when I bought them. I don't think the guy ever washed them. But it doesn't show well in the picture.

There's a Z3 around the Udistrict with utterly black wheels - the miltispoke 3.0 sports package wheels. Makes me cringe.

Don't worry Mike, that picture is from my 01 330, my 03 330 wheels are perfect and kept immaculate

Auuuugh!

My hands are twitching, twitching, twitching...wanting to grab my Meguiar's Car Shampoo, Chenille Wash Pad, 9-in Wheel Brush and Meguiar's Wheel Cleaner! :D

I'm kind of anal about brake dust - a week's accumulation on Karl Bimmer is all I can take! :yikes:
