Sunday morning about 2 am I was leading a caravan of 4 cars home from Import Revolution in Tacoma Washington heading south on I-5. For potential legal reasons I don't want to give any details until it is settled but my car ended up totalled. I was out of it when it got hit and want to let everyone know that I consider myself just lucky to have not been injured.

Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I'll let them tell the story. I've had plenty of requests for parts and I will say right now I don't know if I'll get the car back to part out, but it's been considered.

Here's my car today:

Sorry for your loss. Could have been worse though. I was in a customer's E36M3 LTW in October when he totaled it and it looked horrendous compared to your car (ie: intrusion into passenger compartment).

You did so much with that beauty.....sorry for the loss..but...as long as you have your bootay in tact..you can rebuild that beauty again...

I hope you have a good body shop to get that badboy on the road again...

Well that really sucks, but good thing you're ok. It still hurts when you lose a loved one. Been there, done that (01 325i, RIP).

Wow it looks like you got whacked HARD, those pictures really show how substantial the impact must've been.

Glad you are ok though.

Yeah, there's alot of crinkled sheet metal and busted plastic and glass, but the car looks basically sound and repairable. Doesn't look like there's any unibody damage, the engine compartment and suspension (even the rear) look okay. The passenger compartment looks okay, except for the backlight.

Maybe it's worth buying it back and repairing it on your own dime, either to sell or track.

I wish this was the case but if you look closely at the pictures from the back right side and see the crinkle on the B pillar, the frame on the car is bent.

I'm just happy to be ok.

:yikes: I'm sorry for the loss of the M3. She looked like a beaut. Always remember that it's only a car and can be replaceable. Be thankful you weren't hurt. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with the car.

Cars are replaceable, Lives aren't!

Sorry about your car though dude.
Well, just think about it, you have about 4 months to get your a** into something else for Bimmerfest '04!!!!!!!!!!
This time you can stop in Pleasanton, spend the night and cruise down with the Bay Bimmerz Crew.

How's that sound Ty????????????????

I am so sorry that your beautiful Dinan M3 was totalled, but I am so glad you weren't hurt, TyVil!

Praise the Lord and German Engineering!

I sincerely hope your insurance company will not suffer from Anal-Cranial Inversion Disorder, and I hope you will be back on the road soon in a Bimmer!
