It was based on the 325ix. Yes, they made Coupe too.

What is that black thing sticking up behind the shift lever and next to the hand brake lever? I haven't seen many E30's before and never an Alpina of that generation, but on the E30's I have seen I don't recall ever seeing anything there before. :dunno:

I wish I could see the pics. I'm getting red x's. I'm also having trouble accessing some other web sites, so it's probably our network here at work. Thankfully, I can still access bimmerfest.

not to too get off-topic here but ever wonder why (or know why) the new 3 series awd are called XIs while the older ones are IXs? i'm just curious but some unknown reason.
