To All,

Is it me or is the windshield wipers on the F10 seems to be slower than E60? Today is the first day I used my wipers and at full speed, the wipers seems to have a difficult time clearing the water.
On my E60, you can see the rain flying off the windshield.

Last, I am getting older and may need to have my eyes check! :yikes:

I had my new 535i wipers on rain-sense the other day and they went into constant speed mode. I thought they were a little faster than the slow speed so I clicked it into high speed. Sure enough, they didn't really seem fast to me, considerably slower than high speed on my previous 335i. Slow speed seemed about the same as the 335i, but I thought it strange that high speed was that slow.

I agree that the fast speed does not seem as fast as on previous models and, in 3 days of driving in heavy rain after our F10 European Delivery, the wipers were adequate but not great. Furthermore, BMW have simplified the design and the wipers no longer have the elegant, articulated wiper mechanism that was used on the older 5 and 7 series, so the swept area is now less and I believe the wiper blade acceleration is also reduced. Overall, the wipers are a step backwards and belong more on an econo-box than on a high speed vehicle.

i think the rain sensor is a bit off...seems a bit slow the glass gets very wet before it cleans

You can adjust the rain sensor.

How?

On the E60, there is a little scroll wheel on the wiper control arm, see if it is like that on the F10.

E9x and E70, too.
