I use an Eagle One product called Nevr-Dull.

It is a metal polish and it works great at removing any deposits or soot on your exhaust tips. You can get it at most major autoparts stores like Autozone. One tin of this stuff will last for years.

To use it just pull off a small piece of the wadding and rub it on the exhaust tips. It has a solvent in the wadding that quickly removes any soot.

The material is stainless steel, so anything for that use is fine. I use Mothers, but really any all purpose metal polish will do.
