In the old days you would have flamed the crap out of the guy trading for a WRX. Does this mean that I get no flames if I start abandoning my 330i for the TL?

Naaah... WRX is a little freaking rocket. I have a distaste for Subies, personally, but I respect them.
TL's a nice car too, if you're a fan of torque steer. :D

Perhaps people are getting smarter than falling for the "I'm selling my BMW and getting a XXX" that people use just to stir things up.

Or maybe because the competition is closing the gap
in terms of performance.
Flame suit on :eeps:

IMHO, WRX/STi are nice performance cars (but not my cup of tea). If anyone wants to get rid of their BMWs for one of them, more power to them. There are better cars out there than BMWs, right?
I'd get a TL if it was built in Japan (no faith in built-in-Ohio Hondas) and RWD. :D

I hate WRX/STIs. They're like a 500 gallon steel drum with a two stroke motocrosser engine strapped on, hit the pipe and hold on, all hell and noise breaks loose. They're fast, period.
I have kept both cars, the 330i and the TL and the wife was to drive the TL. But, it is so damned refined and powerful that I find myself taking it most all the time. The 330i is more fun for the very few blasts that I can play rocket boy through residential neighborhoods or if I know that I'm going to be taking my favorite on/off ramps but most every time, the refinement of the TL gets me. You learn to avoid the torque steer. Although, many times I find myself provoking it just so that I will be provoked by it.

Plus, the nimble handling of the 330i helps you avoid the children playing in the street.
That's what I get for trying to be a comedic smart-ass.

Competition is good. Less demand = lower prices. While the 330 isn't a HP leader, in materials, handling, and packaging there is no equal ... yet. The E90 better be as good as the E46 or the competition will kill it.

330 versus STi, absolutely no flame.
M3 versus STi, got to question the sanity. :)
I want to know where you can find an STi at close to MSRP? :)

In the Seattle area, you can get an STi or EVO at or below MSRP these days. It's not like they aren't selling because I see them a lot on the streets!
