I have had BMW's since 1986---ALL on 2 Year Leases...My lease was up on my 335XI Coupe a month ago--and I decided I would step up to the new 550.....Great Press and I loved the looks etc etc.....I get them with 99% of the Options and when I started doing my homework the Lease Price were NUTS--CRAZY....anywhere from $1100.00 to 1560.00 a month depending on the 535XI or 550 XI....I kept Vacilating which I don't ordinarily do.....but this time I did.
On Thursday I priced out the 335 XI Sedan fully Loaded on an order and the #'s were much more in "Reality".....so I ended up ordering one and I am paying only $50.00 more a month on a 2 Year lease 12,000 miles per then I paid in 2008.........
Funny on a Purchase they all quoted $500.00 to $1000.00 over Invoice........ on either the 335 or 550......
If I went in that Direction I would have Purchased the 550XI---but thats also flushing money down the toilet considering you get hit just as big when you walk out the door on either the 335 or 550........$59,000 Sticker---vs $86,000 sticker for a loaded 550XI..
I know the 335 will have a major facelift soon. but God willing by in 2 years the 550 Prices will come down from the Clouds....
Since I won't have the car until the end of November I am putting the 2 Payments (October and November) into the BMW account now and the dealer will recaculate the lease when it arrives on Dec 1.....Harvey

The fully equipped 550xi is still 20 grand less than a 750xi. I think that's a bargain.

Congratulations on the new purchase. Regardless of what BMW you will still enjoy the ultimate driving experience!

Your 335xi will reward you with a much more engaging behind the wheel experience than the 5.

Enjoy your new ride.

If price is an issue why would you price a 550 with "99%" of the options?:dunno: Your comparison between pricing of a 335xi and a fully loaded 550xi has no merit. They are different animals targeted toward different demographics and made to serve different purposes. Perhaps a 528 or 535 with fewer options (which still might have more features that the 335) is more up your alley?

The nuts lease pricing you are seeing is directly related to your 24 month lease. It virtually never makes sense to lease for such a short time. The most depreciation happens in year one and two. Any way though, enjoy your new car!
