BimmerFest Team,

I have a suggestion for a new feature, or maybe this feature already exists and I just don't know about it, but it is this...

There should be a feature and process in place where you can file a complaint about a certain user and reference a particular post (or an entire thread). A moderator will review the complaint and if valid, counts as one complaint against the user. Once a user receives so many [moderator validated] complaints they are banned from the site, no questions asked, no ifs, ands or buts.

Also, there are some people who are the king of deleted posts, we should be able to reference a post that has been deleted.

I believe this feature (and process that is put in place) would allow Bimmerfest to be a better place.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Andy

There is a "Report Post" function. Just click the http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/images/buttons/report.gif icon near the post, enter a reason and send it off. The report will go to the moderator(s) of that forum or the admins if there is no mod for that forum. The mod/admin will review it and decide whether or not to take any action. Please read the Terms of Use (http://www.bimmerfest.com/tou.php) to see what the terms are if you haven't already done so.

Thanks Clyde!!

I guess this pretty much covers it...

1. No personal attacks on any member
2. No harassment of forum members in any way (email, private messages, posts, etc.)
3. No "alternate" personalities. No more than one username per member
4. No adult content. If its not on primetime TV, it’s not on the forum (you may be an adult but that doesn’t mean everyone is)
5. Commercial postings are only permitted by authorized and sponsoring vendors
6. Any "trolls" (those posting just to get a rise or cause trouble AND not posting on-topic material) will be banned without question

Any violation of these rules will lead to a warning for the user.

- First warning does not result in any action
- Second warning results in a 48 hour ban of the site
- Third warning will constitute a 2 week ban from the site
- Any member who has more than 3 warnings will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis

The question still lies... Do the moderators have access to deleted posts/threads?

Thanks,
Andy

We (mods) can see deleted posts and threads in the forums that we moderate.

Me the whiner... :bustingup :loco:

Now that you've seen this thread you best be on your best behavior. Every time I see you reply to one of my posts "just to get a rise or cause trouble". I will report you... EVERYTIME. Word of advise... DON'T DO IT!!

Or better yet, maybe I'll just keep you from seeing my threads.<br><br>
