It will be back once we have gotten all the backups loaded in and switch back to the original server.

This is back up now. The bad news is that the latest backup we had was a bit older than we would have liked and some photos may be missing. We apologize for any trouble this has caused.

I'm trying to click on Gallery from the Home Page and I go to the same message page as I did when it was down. :dunno:

Scott, click on the link that Jetblack posted on the top of this thread. Then click on one of the galleries (general, or 3 series etc.)

When the new page loads, you'll see 'My Gallery'.

*clear temporary files first*

Hmmm . . . I get some cPanel screen sayin no site at that address. Also when I look at other forums where I've posted links to pictures in the photo gallery, they are not showing up.

Also when I look at other forums where I've posted links to pictures in the photo gallery, they are not showing up.Although the site is restored from backups, many pictures have disapeared. Not just the most recent one, which were not backed up. My sig was the oldest picture I have and have disapeared, while new pics I uploaded were restored.
Yes, the site is up. It must be some problem with your machine. Try rebooting first.

Hmmm . . . I still don't get it. I've even gone to a couple of other people here at work and they can't see it from their machine either. Could it be an application missing here at work? But I can see galleries at other sites. Take a look at this link - this is what I see:

http://photos.bimmerfest.com/

When I go to that home, this is what I get:

http://www.cpanel.net/

Edit:

Now this is interesting. If I go to the photo gallery that is linked in my sig, I can get there:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=812

But this is the address I get for the photo gallery index page:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/photos/index.php

But I can see why links back to it didn't have any pictures - all my pictures are gone

When the server was switched back, we had to modify all the dns settings again to repoint the sites. I was originally getting the same page that Scott is talking about until my ISP's dns cache ran out. Unless your ISP is caching the dns results for a much longer period, I honestly don't know why it would be coming up with that other page.

As for missing images, everything that was in the gallery prior to 12/13/2003 *should* be there now. If they are not, there must be some additional problem or the backup wasn't as complete as I had thought.

Rats - all my pics were put in after the 13th. :(

I guess that ISP caching the dns thing could explain why my co-workers see the same thing I do. :dunno:

I saw somebody's pics in the Z car section from Feb. 2003 that are gone as well. And I couldn't re-upload my pics. :(

Hrm. I found a few more files that were in the backup but did not get re-uploaded for some strange reason. In any case, quite a few more images were uploaded...they may be pictures from early on. I know that JetBlack330i's sig is there again.

Scott,

Did you get an error when uploading the pictures? If so, can you tell me what it was? Sending me an email with the error would probalby be best if you don't mind.

I think I just found some additional pictures that might include the Z pictures. I am uploading them now and hopefully it will be better.
