I'm evaluating the purchase of the extended maintenance and I received the following costs estimates from Princeton BMW.
Oil service $270
Inspection 1 $465
Inspection 2 $750
Brake fluid flush $100
Coolant flush $100
For those of you in NJ, what did you pay for these? I would drive to another dealer if it was worthwhile. Is Open Road, King, or Circle much different? Were they any good?

$270 for an oil service! Please tell me that includes something other than changing the oil and inspecting the brakes/belts/boots/etc! Did you realize that if you have a garage you can use, you can do your own oil service for ~$30. That means you could change the oil on the car yourself from 0 to 135,000 miles (9 changes) for less than paying for one oil service.
Just an observation! ;)

Just an observation! ;)Princeton is used to Rich Old People who have no clue but lots of money. The number of MB, BMW, Jag's running around that town is stagering. They'll get you to pay MSRP+ if you don't know any better.
Flemington's BMW Service isn't too bad (as compared to the service to the other brands at the same building!) I've yet to need pricing on any of that stuff thought. Recently purchased a MityVac, Oil and filter to take care of the none covered oil changes. Ended up being a whooping $36.50 w/tax for future changes.

I have used Hunterdon BMW and they charged $53 for an oil change and $120 for an alignment.

Where did you find a MityVac [oil evacuator] for that cheap? JC Whitney carries two models, but the cheapest is $60!

Edit - I reread your post and I think I understand. Your future cost for an oil/filter change will be $36.50 in materials.

So, what did you pay for the extractor and where did you get it?

~60 from griotsgarage. Found places that had it cheaper but they also had a "handling charge" that put it right back to griot's price. Plus I had some other stuff from them I wanted to order.
Right now it's somewhere between Washington and NJ :D
