OK we need to know. Who had fun today in the snow? How much, how long did last, you know, the best stuff. What was the Blizzard of 2010 like for you and your BMW?

Umm..... it's parked in the garage. Nice rock hard summer tires... nope, not going to see pavement for a few months unfortunately.

I tore it up w/ the snowblower & the Volvo though!!!

I had plenty of fun. In an empty mall parking lot, I floored it around and island and the car swung around and parked itself.

Fun and efficient

Our big blizzard in central SC was a few inches in the grass and none on the street. There is still a crust on areas that don't get much sun but it should all be gone later today. I took the SUV to church Sunday, however, right after most of the snow fell but I could have taken the bimmer. Even it's summer performance tires would have been OK since there was essentially nothing on the roads. Most of the natives stayed off the streets, which also helps.

May not be a BMW :( but in the Sierra Nevada I take my Subaru outback out to the ski resort parking lot after a few inches of fresh snow and some ice under and it drifts like a dream. So smooth yet totally under control

Our more recent snowfall was a little more in SC than the first. Our streets got covered Monday but it melted off for the most part by Tuesday afternoon. We still have snow with ice on top in the grassy areas. I drove my SUV, rear wheel drive, each day this week. The bimmer has performance tires that would probably have gotten me to work and back but the natives are a bit scary on slick roads and I decided I'd rather risk the SUV. School will be out all week - people with younger kids are upset.

I didn't go out and do donuts, my SUV has stability control that is harder to switch off than the bimmer, but my son did. He recently put a mechanical locker on his 1978 Ford F-100 pickup. He, his buddy, and his buddies' wife all did donuts in my sons old pickup. I saw the videos, it looked like they had a bunch of fun. It was a first for the young lady involved.
