Bluetooth Audio - track info not supported?

Hi all

I have a 528i and am using iphone 4. I was able to get the bluetooth audio working; but for some reason the track info does not show up. I can still do next/prev using the car's audio system; but just don't get the track info.

If I go into sources; it actually says 'Track information not supported'. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Yes, that's because Apple only bothered to implement 1.0 version of AVRCP Bluetooth profile. Other phones which has 1.3 profile would be able to display track info; and BMW Combox will upgrade to 1.4 version later this year, and supported phones would allow track browsing.

It is a bit disappointing that after years of pushing for Apple to give us AVRCP, then when it finally arrived, they only gave us the bare minimum.
