live in boston area and thinking of doing a second ED with a x1 version
bought a 328 convertible 3 .5 years ago and had lots of fun driving around Italy
have little experience driving the 5 series
would this be the right car??????????????????????
or could you recommend a better model or certain options i should get

Well, the 5 is definitely not like the 3. If you want a car that you can "throw around" stick with the 3.

It won't hurt to find a dealership near you though and test drive the 5. This way, you'll see/feel the difference for yourself.

I agree with JoeRoadster...a 5 is not a 3...I was in an e36 M3 years back - fun, sporty, felt like it was on rails...Loved that car. But now in my late 30s...cough...I think the 5 is ideal. Its a great mix of luxury and sport. For winter driving I went with the xi. Give one a spin and see what you think.
