: E36 Euro (UK) 3.2L M3 Cluster - Oil temp!

Decided to finally let go of my Euro (UK) E36 Instrument Cluster, as I need the money for another project.

What's so great about a UK cluster? Well, for those of us in the USA, this is one of the few Euro clusters that displays MPH instead of KPH, and provides an oil temp read-out (in Celsius) for that stock look. Additionally, you get a raised red-line of 7400 rpm.

This was installed and working in my 98 M3. To make this work, you'll need to connect a wire to pin #13 on the back of the cluster, which can be acquired at the dealer. You'll also need an oil temp sender, to send data from the engine to the cluster. Neither of these items are included.

If you wish to retain your current mileage, this can be done by swapping the coding plug on the back of the cluster. Mileage is stored in both the DME and coding plug/cluster. If you don't swap the plug, the highest number will be your new value. Installing a 100k cluster into a 120k car (DME stored value) the cluster will copy that number to the cluster.
Vice versa, putting a 120k cluster into a 100k car (DME), the 120k number will be written into the DME. As shown in the pictures, the cluster does come with an additional code plug, although I cannot recall the mileage on that plug, and do not have the means to check.

This unit is in excellent shape with no visible damage. The code plug cover is broken, but will not cause the plug to fall out, as it seats quite easily without much play.
