Problems with trunk latch

I have a 2001 330 Ci Convertible, with sports package. For some reason, especially when it is cold, my trunk will not lock when I close it. It just bounces, but is not actually latched down. Has anyone else had this problem? I have to unlock it again for the latch to work properly. I took it to the dealer 3 times, and they changed all sorts of parts in the latch mechanism. My warranty is expiring in 20 days...any suggestions? Please help, STAT! :dunno:

Also, has anyone tried the Shark air intake? I have used the Shark Injector, and am happy with the results. I want to get a Remus exhaust next, followed by cold air intake.

I don't know how to fix your problem, but if you've already taken it into the dealer for the same problem before your warranty expires and it breaks again after warranty, it's still covered. I think that's how it works in all states, I'm sure that's how it is in California.
