The review on page 28 comes from South Africa. Speaking about the new 6, the reviewer states that "it lacks the drama of the Jaguar XK and emotion of the GranCabrio, but makes up for it with sheer class." "Highlights include a huge new monitor with seven-inch screen, plus a new generation head-up display." However, another reviewer in the same article writes, "BMW talks at length about weight reducing technologies, but this car is porkier than the one it replaces [4.500 versus 4,300 pounds]." "The chasis, with a multi-link suspension front and rear, does an impressive job of masking the extra pounds. Equipped with the optional active roll stabilization, it provides exceptional road-holding, making it difficult to unsettle the car even on rough pavement. The 2012 car always seems to have extra power in reserve, and it pulls relentlessly to its governor, which is set at a low 130 mph for regular models and 150 mph on those with the optional sport package."

Roundel says that it will have its own review of the new 6 next month.

Interesting article. But when I look at the "build your own" for the F13 on the BMW website, I don't see any option for "sport package", which is quoted in the article as necessary to bump the speed limiter above 130mph. Wonder where that came from?
