That works!

You might add this to your petition.

The front license plate is so wide that it interfers with the proper airflow to the radiator or the oil cooler.

This affects the performance of the engine. Who knows what the long term effects will be?

I tried this in WA but their answer was BMW makes a front license plate bracket so I could not get an exemption.

You can get the exemption for a Porsche in a few states.

Do you really think the state of New York cares that for aesthetic reasons you don't like their requirement for a front plate? Their priorities are different than yours. Good luck with your petition but I think you are in for a losing battle.

+1. It's about as likely as raising the speed limit.

You also have to take into consideration, the state has spent money on the following devices:
- Devices that the state have in place which read and photo your front plate.
Red light cameras, toll both cameras, traffic cameras etc....

In a time of tight budget constraints, I don't think they are going to stop using tools that help them generate revenue.

Good luck and I hope you're successful. :)
