I know this sounds dumb but how do you remove the foglights on the front of an e39?

Do you want to get rid of them or just replace the bulbs? In either event, your owner's manual has instructions in the bulb section. BTW, if you go to www.bmwtips.com you can find MY2000+ owner's manuals online
In my '02 model the entire assembly is removed to replace the bulb.

I have a 97 E39 and the fog lights are different from the 2000 manaul i have.
I got one changed at the dealership they charge me 10 bucks for the blub and like 70 for the LABOUR like what the hell?
I dont think its reasonable to charge 70 bucks labour for replacing a bulb

There are 2 plastic clips on the top side of the plastic grill, on both sides of the fog lights. Pop off or screw off. Once removed, the 2 portions of the grill comes out where it reveals the screws to remove the fogs.
Hope I explained right.
That'll be $35 for the info..... :bigpimp:
i know the plastic clip your talking about but my bumper completely covers those clips. now i bought the car liek this so i dont know if its oem bumpers or some sport edition.
