Wonder if we can get clyde to update this?

It would be cool to have total conformity, don't you think?

When I walk around I want to know who's car I'm looking at
(user id/bimmerfest member name)...

:D

Yes, yes. More room for mods. I've got too much new crap to add since last year

That is a nice long drive :D We will try to make sure it is available early in April just so everyone has plenty of time to get it and fill it out....

Some Illustrator and laid out in Quark.

Some Illustrator and laid out in Quark.Urk. Then I can't help. I neither Illustrate nor Quack :D.

I could do what I did for Bimmerfest East and just load the BF 2003 placard as a background, paint over the non-appropriate text, and add in my stuff. But I'd rather not be the only odd-looking one... :dunno:

:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

But the real question is... How much stuff are you bringing out here and how much stuff do you plan to take back :dunno:

But the real question is... How much stuff are you bringing out here and how much stuff do you plan to take back :dunno:Just me, the car, my camera stuff, car detailing stuff, some route books, and my PC w/ national wireless Internet service :D.

I'll be starting a "Terry goes to Bimmerfest" thread in the next couple days which will have the route and things I'll be doing on the way back (I'm mostly making a beeline for the 'fest on the way out, but I'll take a couple weeks while going back - I think you'll find some of the things very interesting). I'll also post my progress, and maybe some pics, in that thread once I'm on my way...

I've always wanted to do a cross country trip that way... Just take my time, meander around, look for interesting stuff, and not worry about all the regular every day crap that life throws at you.

Very nice Terry!Thanks!
Is there any update of one that everyone can enter their stuff in?Unfortunately, Acrobat won't let me at the text in last year's one that isn't part of the "fill in the blanks". So I wound up doing what I said - filling in last year's form and importing it into Photoshop to fix up the other text. Once I did that, there's no good way to get it back into Acrobat as a form. So I think you'll have to wait for Clyde on this one...

I ended up copying and pasting Clyde's artwork into Visio for last year's placard since I wanted more control over the text than I was getting from the PDF form. Thanks to Terry, I am doing the same thing this year. If you have access to Visio, here is a link to the blank form I am using: http://www.coates3.com/docs/bimmerfest_blank_car_id_2004.vsd

Click for either the PhotoShop .psd file (http://www.tmk.com/transient/bimmerfest-2004-blank.psd) (1.5MB) or the JPEG file (http://www.tmk.com/transient/bimmerfest-2004-blank.jpg) (360KB). The font used is SerpentineDBol which you can download from a number of places on the net. I got it in TrueType (Windows) format from here (http://www.obsessional.co.uk/serpentinedbol.ttf).

Thank you very much. I think I may have to have this modified to remove the 'options' section. My car was a stripper with the only option being an automatic transmission which it doesn't even have anymore. Leaves me more room for my mods anyhow
