Im heading down to Deals Gap tomorrow in an attempt to tame the dragon over the weekend.
My current R4S's are down to 50% (almost daily driving, 2 drivers schools / 4 hours tracktime) and I didnt want to risk going down there without some extra margin of safety.
As such I ordered some new front R4S pads from porterfield enterprises.
Ive been real plased with the performance of the R4S. Porterfield service is excelent, but the manner in which they present their products (packaging) well...could have used some improvement.
When the box arrived, I was expecting the same stale and generic looking white box, with the pads loose inside- although held together by a rubber band.
I opened the boxed and was pleasantly surprised that the pad boxes are now a semi gloss blue, adorned with the porterfield logo and with the script Racing Brake Pads. I was like WOW, what a difference. The pads are still loose inside though.
In addition, they included a very nice soft cover catalog describing all the porterfield compunds and pad applications, but also info on Hawk pads, PF/Carbon Metallic, Motul, tilton, willwood, XRP and more.
Porterfield has made a great and positive marketing move. Their product presentation is now as good as their service.
To say that I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
