I had to get out of someones way this past week....and my 7 series front drivers side rim took the full brunt of it. The outer edge of the rim looks chewed up...but no tire damage, etc.

What kind of shop would typically fix these? I spoke with my local BMW dealership---but their independent "guy" has not returned a couple of calls from me.

Try calling another dealer and also google rim repair for your area. Someone has to be around.

Look for wheel restoration shops, or shops that repair/paint wire wheels. They can usually repair alloys as well. We have one locally that does great work.

Repairing Scratched or Curbed Wheels

***8226; Wheel Collision Center ***8211;http//:www.wheelcollision.com/

***8226; Mobile Wheel Repair (US, UK) - http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/
***8226; Wheel Repair UK - http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/...ce_details.php.

Be cognizant that serious damage to a wheel may affect the vehicle's alignment and subsequent steering, always check for structural damage (i.e. surface cracks) or deformed rims, which should always be replaced. Shop cosmetic / appearance wheel repair- approx. $150 ***8211;250 per wheel, usually 48 hours (dependent upon geographical area)
