I'm sure there is a detailing forum on here where everyone discusses their favorite polishes and waxes. Unfortunately, I'm relatively new here, and I have no idea where that would be.

So, if someone could direct me, I would be appreciative. In the meantime, I'll simply ask my question here, just in case there is no area for detailing or waxes.

I'm a big fan of Meguiars products. I've used the Show Car Polish and the Gold Master Wax. Both are liquid form. I'm considering the NXT 2.0 or the Yellow Wax #26. Has anyone used either of these? If so, what's your opinion of them.

Also, what other products have you found outstanding for giving a good shine that lasts through a car wash or two.

Thanks.

Dodo Juice Hard Candy, especially for Space Grey, is outstanding as a wax. If you need something durable for the winter, Collinite super double coat is your friend.

If you want to stick with Meguiar's, I would recommend M26 out of the the ones you listed. I find it to last as long as NXT 2.0 and IMO it looks better as well. I never understood why M26 didn't/doesn't get more love.

Also I like the new Meguiar's Ultimate Wax.

Todd is right about the No 26 from Meguiar's (http://www.properautocare.com/1698-Meguiars-26-Hi-tech-Liq-Wax.aspx). It has no been given any love anymore. It's a great wax to use and the price is great too!

I like to use Meguiars also although I am new to the whole detailing scene and am starting to consider different products. I currently have the NXT 2.0 on mine and I like it. It's been on for a good while and I wash quiet often. I clayed and polished beforehand which I'm sure made a big difference.

Hey guess what man, I ordered *both* yesterday. I did my due diligence in reading a lot about Collinite vs FK1000, but between not being forced to do two coats and much less worry about trim, I gave the Super DoubleCoat a go. Thanks for the recs, and your Dodo application tips in the other thread.

Welcome aboard.

Plenty of good choices out there....

The two great US detailing forums are http://www.autopia.org/forum/forum.php and http://www.autogeekonline.net/. There are plenty of discussions and all the choices mentioned are great.

Collonites are awesome waxes.

My favorite waxes sealants are: FK1000P, Blackfire Wet Diamond, Zaino CS, Optimum Spray Wax and Klasse All in one.
