I assume the three of you guys have the Remus exhaust. I have a couple questions for you...
1. Did you leave the resonator in or take it out? I'm curious as to how it sounds both ways. I'm thinking that I would want to take it out, but yet wouldn't want it to be too loud.
2. Did any of you guys notice any performance gains (i.e. HP, torque or throttle response). I'd really like to get a little bit better throttle response out of my 330i and curious as to if an exhaust system might help.
3. Do any of you guys know how much of a weight savings this is over the stock exhaust?
4. Got any pics you could share with us?
Thanks,
Andy

1 - Left it in. After breaking in, it's now plenty loud. I think it would be too loud for my tastes without the resonator.
2 - No, not really.
3 - It's lighter, but not that much lighter. We didn't weigh the units, though.
4 - I'll post a pic once I get it straightened out... it's still hanging a little low and to the left at the moment. :eeps:

1. The Remus exhaust is only a muffler, it doesn't require removal of the resonator like some of the full cat-back systems. I guess you could remove it but I don't know if there would be any performance gain from it. There's been quite a bit of discussion about it here before with no real consensus.
2. Yes, a little bit. I wrote a little bit about it after my install, I can't find the link to my post though.
3. Yes, we weighed the units when installing the Remus on my car. It is about 7 lbs. lighter, so I'd say baout 7 hp gain! :D j/k about the gain of course.
4. Lots of pics in the DIY forum here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43750&highlight=Remus+Raffi
Shoot, just noticed the pics are no longer there... Who can restore them? :dunno:
