TireRack inspection for manuf. defects

Gary, does Tire Rack still inspect all tires before shipping for manufacturing defects like "out of round", etc? There have been a few issues with Bridgestones discussed in the thread below (starting at post #18).

I have had issues with a Potenza S03 tire from another source myself and was going to buy from Tire Rack in the future to avoid the inconvenience of having to get a replacement.

Unfortunately unless they are mounted on a wheel, it is not possible to check every tire before it ships.

All wheel/Tire packages are checked for this since we mount and balance them on Hunter machines.

Such defects, while understandably annoying and time consuming, are rare and covered under warranty.
