I installed a V-1 radar/laser detector to the left of the rear-view mirror. It seems that the NAV system signal trips the V-1 and falses it with a rear-pointing arrow and the laser alert audio. The only solution so far is to turn off the dash monitor.
Any ideas how to stop the falsing signal?????

I have mine to the right of the rear-view with no problems. I have nav as well. Might want to try moving it to the other side of the mirror...

It clears the tint zone just fine...

I had min mounted on the dash above the the nav unit and then to the right of the mirror, no problem in either position.

Then I had a policeman in France converscate it ($750 fine)

Any ideas how to stop the falsing signal?????The NAV screen does fool the V1 laser detector. However, I've never seen a mounting location for the V1 that would cause it to "see" the NAV screen. I keep mine to the right of the mirror and my EZ-Pass (it is off to the right in this pic, which was taken to show my unique hardwire method):

If you're getting a rear arrow, it is probably picking up a reflection off something. Maybe the rear window, maybe not. Do you wear eyeglasses? If you want to keep the same location, one thing you could do is take a piece of cardboard and move it around in the cabin to see where the V1 is picking up the reflection from, and then try to block it somehow.
