I'm close to buying a "loaded" 04 X5 3.0. Does anyone have a breakdown of the premium sound option? It looks to me like they have DSP (firmware?) and the 2 sub-woofers for an additional $1100.
It got me to wondering if I could put my own amp and subwoofers into the space and jettison the $500 DSP.
Any body attenpt anything like this?
