Bimmerfest East - nice event!

Although I was a "lone wolf" at Bimmerfest East - I am pleased to report that many attendees were not only curious but
offered very complementary comments. Many had never seen a GT in the flesh and people took numerous pics of
my GT throughout the day. Given the event was dominated by Ms in all flavors -
I really did not know what to expect or what comments the GT would elicit - I was really pleased. :)

I thought this car somehow looked different from the rest. It looks like it had some admirers when I passed by. ;)

How'd I miss you?
Saw your car. Nice.

Sorry I didn't meet you there, too.

Bunch of interest.
Couldn't get pic without somebody in it.

Thanks for posting the pic!

It was an interesting day. Most people, to whom I spoke, had never seen a 550i GT. Many commented that they were predisposed not to like the GT - given the banter on Bimmerfest - but were very pleasantly surprised by the GT in the flesh. Many commented on the GT's athletic presence, luxury and functionality. The physical presence of the GT challenged preconceived prejudice. Some after seeing the car, and speaking to me, continued to voice ambivalence which I expected. The GT plays to a niche, but it was heartening to see BMW enthusiasts at Bimmerfest East - dominated by M3 drivers - appreciate the GT on its on terms -
there is hope for the world. :)

Sorry I missed you.
