I don't know that much about bimmers. Is that a factory wheel? It's a BBS RM or RS right?

Bolt pattern of 4x100 right?

That looks like an RS but it looks like an OE application of some sort. Hard to tell from the small pics. A true RS would have a thicker hex area in the centercap.

If I could see a better detail of the centercap I could probably tell where it came from. Since this is a E30 non-M, it would be 4x100, so it could even be from a early 90s Volkswagen.

they are 3-piece RS001
( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2468698284&category=23023&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1
)

the 2-piece RM001 came on 91 GTI 16v.

what i am wondering is did these rims come on any BMW cars from the factory (or an an aftermarket option) that had 4x100 bolt pattern.

I own a VW and really like these euro wheels.

It's still hard for me to tell from those pics. If you know about the MkII GTI 2pc wheels, you know that the centercap is snapped on. Most OE RS-style ones I've ever seen are the same way, whereas true aftermarket RS are screwed on. This translates to the aftermarket caps having a thicker hex piece.

I don't know of any RS coming on cars from the factory during this time, 4x100 or otherwise, so I'm inclined to believe these are non-OE BBS RS.

As far as I know, no. The is models had a different style of basketweave, and the M3 was five-lug.

so what bimmers had 4x100 bolt pattern?

And what were the BBS OEM alloys available on the above mentioned cars?

2002, E21 and E30 3-series except M3 were 4x100. There were some factory 14" 4x100 1pc basketweaves at some point (from iS models, I think), but not 15s, as that's what M3s had.

There were 15" BBS wheels available for Euro iS models as an option, here's a picture of optional shadowline 15":

This oem wheel is the BBS RZ wheel. They were standard on the e30 is models and the ix models if I recall correctly. The wheel mentioned above is indeed the 3 piece RS 001. They were forged rather than cast. I remember paying about $600 per wheel for my e30 and that was only a 15 x 7. They were in my opinion one of the best looking wheels for BMWs.
