i cant close the moonroof unless

the engine is on ~~~
if i turn off the engine and it happen that the moonroof is open I cant close it but not the windows only the moon roof i check the manual it says I should be able 2 close it for 5 minutes after shutting off the engine if I didnt open the door like I do with the windows
any idea do i need to program any thing or i miss any thing here !!!!!! :dunno:

I have the exact same issue with my 2008 550i! If the engine is off and I vent the sunroof I am unable to close it. Clicking forward, back or tilt just causes the sunroof to go down then back up. When I turn on the engine, no problem at all. Coding thing maybe?

Had the same issue. I had to hold the button while it reprogrammed itself. Works fine now. Key was to not let the button go. Takes like 2 minutes or so.
