Anybody have any comments on Falken FK-451's? At $98/tire for 225/45-17, they seem like a decent deal.

Get the Falken Azenis Sports. Inexpensive, and you won't find better summer grip for the price. They beat the Kumho 712s all hollow at twice the price, actually.

How do the Azenis do in the rain? They don't look like they would move much water. :dunno:

They worked well for me at VIR in a downpour. They're cheap and sticky, and the noise level is very reasonable. The only real downside is they weigh a lot (don't have an actual measurement yet) but that's the price of the stiff sidewalls.

I have them and they are great so far. I don't track or anything so for just on the road they are grippy and produce only a little more noise than my stock setup. I've had them in the rain a few times and had no problem with hydroplaning. I found that in very cold temps -30 they had a tendency to break away on acceleration due to the compounds hardening up, but then again they are a summer tire.
