Guys, I need alittle help measuring my tread depth. The tires came with 11/32" tread depth. How do you read, 11/32"? After I understand exactly how to interpret that, how do I go about measuring it and where exactly do I measure the tread deph? Do I have to get a special tool or can I use a ruler? THanks for the help.
If you're actually going to measure tread depth, you want to measure at the most worn area, which on a E46 with 'normal' wear is toward the inside on the front and in the middle in rear.
As for special tools, if you don't have a ruler that can measure in 32nds and can measure from the end, you're going to have to find something that can.
