View Full Version : Will 15" wheels fit a 2001 325?
It's basic info, but I can't find it in a search. My newly aquired '93 325is has 15" wheels with a little rubber left on them (Bridgestone Turnaza H's). Was thinking of putting these wheels/tires on my 2001 325xi for the summer, to use up the last of those tires. (SO3's are going on the E36, it's for the track.) So will the 15" wheels be OK on the 2001 325xi? Any issues with fitting over the brakes, etc.? Thanks.
You could try, but I don't think so. The wheel would have to have large clearances to clear the brakes.
No go, eh? Too bad. Basically, do I just know that it will or won't work by putting them on and see if they touch the brakes or not?
It woul dhave been nice to use up these tires in the summer. Otherwise, I won't be using them at all. I'd never take them to the track.

Just like how a few 16s will fit on a 330, the same may be true for 15s on a 325/328. Only real way to tell would be to try them (on the back; they might fit the back).
Right. The wheels are the typical E36 bottlecaps, I think they're called. I guess I can just slide one on the front and see what happens.

No need to waste your time/effort as we've not found a single 15" wheel that clears the brakes on this car.
Thanks for the replies. Oh well.
I guess I can't complain that I have big breaks. :)
OK, I worked on both cars this weekend and tried it. Sure enough, the 15" wheels did not fit on the E46. Oh well. Thanks for the info guys.
