A dealer is quoting $39000 + taxes for a 6 speed manual transmission, with leather seats, metallic paint, premium package for the X3 - 3.0 litre version.

Is this a good price?

you can probably do a little better. figure the price at invoice, add a fair profit and go get it done.

The list on that truck is probably about $42500, I'd say a $3000 discount off list is a good deal.

Perhaps my numbers are wrong, but MSRP for that is $40,770 including the destination charge of $695. Invoice is $37,325 including destination ($695).

Yeah, sorry, I didn't see that you had a 6 speed manual in it.

Hi all. This is my first post and my first BMW.

I just got a heck of a deal on a silver-grey 3.0L X3, automatic, satellite radio prep and privacy glass. MSRP of 42,450, and i'm getting the car for 39,200. That's actually about 450 below invoice, or about 700 above invoice when you include the automatic transmission incentive. I'm picking it up on Saturday.

There's a catch to this deal, though. I had placed a deposit on a white 3.OL X3, MSRP of 41,500, that was on a boat on its way over. The dealer gave me the automatic incentive discount on that car because, at the time, he anticipated it getting here before the end of April. Well, thanks to a slower-than-expected transport, it wasn't going to arrive until next month, after the incentive expired. Therefore, the dealer gave me the same price on the more expensive silver-grey in order to ensure he got credit for the auto incentive. Bottom line: I got lucky.

All that said, i think you can beat $39 on that car. Maybe not by much, so it's up to you if it's work haggling over. Good luck.
