My 2003 BMW X5 has a chirping noise at low idle. It goes away when I start to drive but around 500-700 RPM, it is very loud. I have recently replaced my DISA valve and searched on many forum topics which all the symptoms point to. I also have a suspicion it may be the CVV (Oil Separator) valve. Can anyone please help to identify what the problem may be?
Here's a link to Youtube where I have recorded the noise.
Thanks
Sorry, I just realized this is a double post after reading up on the chirping noise caused by the idler pulley. I took off the front cover on the engine and applied some WD-40 on it and it reduced the noise from a chirping to a rattling. Here's a video of the sound after WD-40:
I am looking to replace this part and hopefully, this will get rid of the noise.
