Has anyone had any success using E63/E64 rims/tires on their F12. I had a 2008 650i convertible and I bought a great set of BMW M Style 18' rims with snow tires for the winter.....only to discover that my dealer is telling me they won't fit on my new 2012 650i convertible.

Apparently, the offset is different. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has had any success trying to mount older tires on this car.

thx

I was told the same thing. So I purchased a set of 18" F10 take off Wheels with all seasons for the winter. When I tried them out (besides the supposed 2011 wheel sensors wouldn't sync) they barely cleared the calipers. As the wheel weight passes, we are talking 1 to 2 mm. So I tried my 2008 18" factory non sport 650i wheels...they cleared with far more room and I actually thought they ascetically fit better with 10 mm less offset. I think it was the design of the wheel that I benefited from as it would have seemed after the first set 10mm less in offset would never work..so try them you may be pleasantly surprised.

Just tried my 18" rims and snows from my old 2008 650i on my new 2012 and they worked just fine and actually look pretty good. The only issue is the tire monitor sensors aren't compatible - but I can live with that in a snow tire.

Which rims do you have? I have a set in my garage from my 08 650 also.

Post a pic of your 2012 with the other rims. I'd love to see that!

There a few pics in the "M Styles Rims and Snow Tires for sale" posting if you have a look there
