Holy smokes Batman! Anyone else see the specs on this production car?

0-60 in 3.3 seconds
Quicker than Porsche Twin Turbo and the Ferrari Modena
ESPN had a special on the tube last night and featured many of the new models from the NYC car show. To say they were impressed with both the MB and the TT Pepper SUV would be an understatement.

Hmmmmmmm.... Maybe I shouldn't believe everything I see/hear on TV.
Not sure what difference between the SL and SLR would be but 4.5 seconds sounds too slow for the car.

One mag got a high 3s for that car...
The big key with the SL55 and the SL600 is the launch. They are VERY difficult cars to get off of the line. The turbo lag of the SL600 might well make it easier to launch as the 5.5 has much more immediate punch.
And I can state from personal experience that the SL55 will go sideways with traction control ON. :D :str8pimpi

The BIG boss at my firm is on the list for the SLR. If at least I don't get to drive it, maybe he will let me sit in it. :D

I think it would be wise of MB and Porsche to send me the cars under discussion so I can put an end to the rumors and inaccurate information :)

And send me a copy of each because you can't be trusted.
If the big boss does get one, you surely won't be far behind.

I sooo wanted to say "Oooh hold on, let me grab my camera, I'll be right back" but that sounded much too http://home.studenten.net/~kenji/gayfight.gif so I refrained. I am sure I will see it sometime soon parked and I will take some pics.
He bought it.

I would say faster, not quicker.
What is the fixation with 0-60 numbers anyway? Especially if we're talking .5 sec.
