My favs - Kinesis K58's.

I just happen to be wheel shopping. I hope this doesn't annoy anyone.

Is that a 3 piece forged rim with magnesium spokes?

Dare I ask how much? There's a really nice looking Kinesis cross spoke design that looks a lot like the BMW OEM Cross Spoke Composite #42s that I've been lusting over.

about $4k +shipping, taxes, rubber, etc. That'd be 18 x 8.5/10.5.

Yeah they are 3 piece. I do not think they are magnesium, though. made to order, various finishes.

Imagine your nerves riding around on $5k+ of rolling stock? :)

Sigh...

For that kind of coin, I would be buying these...

SSR GT3 18x8.5 = 24lbs, 18x10=25lbs and quite a bit cheaper than the K58's @ $2140. for a set. I actually found the K58's down to $3290. a set without any dickering yet.

Hmmm... would love to see a pic of the GT3's on a roadster. I'm positive they'd look great on a coupe such as the M3.

I know a lot of people run the SSR Comps but they are a little basic for my tastes.

Did you PS that, LOL?! :)

Otherwise, they look like 18's - do you know?

Wow - nice work! Thanks...

Although I do find the wheels a bit busy for the car, IMHO. Maybe they are just a bit too shiny here. I personally want the wheels to be very nice but subtle, so they blend in and don't detract from the rest of the car.

I photoshopped a ton of wheels for this guy's Mcoupe over at DTM. Check out the thread

I think I’m going to be sick
  :dunno:

Funny quote of the thread has to be:

“well, i don't know if my car is S52 or S54. All i know is the car is a 00 model.”
Zeemax M Coupe

In response to question:

“Is your coupe S52 or S54?”

Hey Guillermo,

Thanks for the pointer! I checked out your images at DTM and they were very helpful!

Actually, I think I have settled on either Kinesis (ouch) or SSR GT3's (as per your work above). They are a lot less shiny in real life which was my immediate concern but thanks to JPinTO and yourself for originally pointing me in that direction!

Including the FM5 & FM10. I have no idea about weights. I don't think the BBS CH come in M Coupe offset.

You can get these in non-chrome too (which I think looks better)

A good friend of mine has the SSR GT3s (19") on his 02 M3. Likes them, but to keep the polished area clean is kinda difficult. Will post pics as soon as I get my digital camera back from repairs.:tsk:
