View Full Version : Wheels and Warranty Concerns?
I was considering purchasing 18" wheels and tires for my 01 325Ci coupe, but was concerned if there was a conflict with the warranty. I know that the owner's manual only lists up to a 17" rim as an approved "BMW wheel", but if I do purchase the 18" does this really void the entire warranty on the car? And if so why? There can't be that much of a difference between 17" and 18" rims can there? Thanks for your help.

Car makers use that "Any modifications will void your warranty" bs, so that they can sell you their own stuff. Ex. 18" BMW wheels. In order for the warranty to be void, the dealer/manufacturer must prove that your upgrade caused that specific problem.
