I'm interested and in Boston. ... are these the r ight size tires for 17" wheels on the e46s/?? Aren'tt they generally 225/45s?

These are for 17x 7 inch rims, the XI and some of the convertibles have them. 225/45R17 is for the 17x8 rims.
